| Ron Owens has been a communications professional for more than 25 years.
During his career, he covered community news at Rancho Cordova’s
Grapevine Independent and was publications editor at the California
Newspaper Publishers Association. In addition, he served as an emergency
Public Information Officer (PIO) at the California Office of Emergency
Services, edited University of the Pacific’s alumni publication, and was
involved in the California Department of Toxic Substances Control’s
cleanup of several military installations. Prior to arriving as a
California Department of Public Health PIO, Ron was a PIO at the
Department of Motor Vehicles and California Community Colleges
Chancellor’s Office. |
